This Renaissance Interior was inspired by 15th Century painting – particularly those of the Flemish school such as Jan Van Eyck and Roger Van der Weyden. The particular interest is in the depiction of an interior – often quite ordinary with a view through a window to the countryside beyond.
This mural was commissioned for a Cotswold interior, so a base tile was chosen that had a rustic finish to it to complement the surrounding stone architecture.
Our client agreed that the resulting mural offers a window onto another world that inspires and lifts the spirits.
