Our handmade terracotta tiles originate from Spain and are made in the traditional way by throwing clay into a wooden mold before turning each tile out to dry naturally before being fired to just over 1000° C. The fired tiles are left with varying colours of reds, oranges and yellows depending on different amounts of oxidization during the firing process. The laid tiles must be sealed with linseed oil and a final natural beeswax polish.
